This road was originally the riverbed where the Abroñigal Stream flowed, but whose path was altered in 1807. The Paseo de la Castellana has changed its name several times. Some of its names included la Avenida de la Libertad at the end of the 19th century or La Avenida del Generalísimo during the General Franco Dictatorship.
Paseo de Rosales
This beautiful road of Madrid was inaugurated in 1906 but after the Spanish Civil War it had to be reconstructed. It is lined with luxurious apartment buildings that have exceptional views of the parquet del Oeste and the upper floors have a panoramic views of the Casa de Campo.
Paseo del Prado
It was the most trafficked street in the city and still is-since Felipe the 4th decided to create El Real Sitio del Buen Retiro in 1631. Originally it was a closed hippodrome since Carlos the 3rd since wanted to make this street an artistic and cultural center at that time. During his reign many elegant palaces were built, and some of them still exist today.
